Lower Castle + Wolf’s Palace + Upper Castle

The Lower Castle is presented as the noble residence it was. Visitors can view a ceremonial state banqueting hall, scullery, armoury, bedrooms and studies. They can learn how the nobility lived in the chateau and its customs. As well as the Lower Castle the first floor of the Wolf’s Palace which houses an exhibition of historical clock is also accessible. In June 2015 the tour route should be extended to include the second floor of the Wolf’s Palace where an exhibition is planned of outlining the restoration of the chateau grounds over the course of several decades. In the Upper Castle visitors can learn in detail about the Thun family. The unique picture gallery depicts individual family members. The original Renaissance wall paintings and ceilings or stove can also be seen.
